Dr. Camille Rousseau and Dr. Karen Bouchard present at the ESC Preventive Cardiology conference in Milan!
Along with members from the Exercise Physiology and Cardiovascular Health Laboratory, we were proud to represent the University of Ottawa Heart Institute in Milan, Italy for the ESC-Preventive Cardiology conference.
Camille presented data from a scoping review within the YOUNG-HEARTS project. Her research question for this review was “what are the effects of parental cardiovascular disease on children's behavioural, emotional, and social outcomes?”
Karen presented survey data from the Hypertension-Wide project. Her research question for this study was “how do perceptions of and practices associated with hypertension prevention differ by ethnicity?”
“The aim of the conference was to take an honest look at the current state of cardiovascular risk in our society and to identify major barriers to effective implementation of guideline treatments, and explore innovative solutions for a healthier future. ”
