Dr. Karen Bouchard presents at the Canadian Heart Function Alliance in Montreal!

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER CARDIAC REHABILITATION?

This April, Dr. Karen Bouchard gave an Early-Career Researcher Invited Talk at the CHFA in Montreal.

Dr. Bouchard presented the project UPSTREAM-CR, which explores the socio-ecological correlates of quality of life post-cardiac rehabilitation. While there is strong evidence for the effectiveness of cardiac rehabilitation for patients with cardiovascular disease, the period following cardiac rehabilitation has been minimally studied. With UPSTREAM-CR, we aim to investigate the social and ecological factors that may affect patients’ quality of life following cardiac rehabilitation.

This project will support our MSc student Mia’s master’s thesis.
